| Ag-based Electrical Contact Materials

GLESI possesses a deep technical foundation in the research and development of low-voltage silver-based contact materials and has accumulated rich experience in the research and production. In recent years, with the platform of Guangxi Electrical Materials Engineering Technology Research Center, a series of new silver-based electrical contact materials and their production technologies have been developed.

Main research directions:

(1) Research on internal oxidation and chemical co-deposition technological processes for high-performance AgSnOcontact materials;

(2) Research on high-performance AgNi contact materials.

(3) Research on intelligent equipment for model tests real-device tests of the electrical life of contact materials.

| BO Film Production Lines

GLESI began research on bi-axially oriented film production equipment in 1960s and possesses a number of independent patented technologies. It has provided more than 150 various film production lines for domestic and foreign customers, including bi-axially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP) production line, bi-axially oriented polyester film (BOPET) production line, dry and wet battery separator production line, bi-axially oriented polyimide film (BOPI) production line, bi-axially oriented nylon film (BOPA) production line, bi-axially oriented polyethylene film (BOPE) production line, and bi-axially oriented polystyrene film (BOPS) production line, etc. In the meantime, it provides technical services for imported production lines, maintenance and modification of the control system, and provides spare parts.

| Insulation Materials

GLESI possesses a deep technical foundation in the research and development of high-performance insulation materials, and has accumulated rich experience in the research, development and production. In recent years, with the research and development platforms of Guangxi Engineering Research Center for Electrical Materials and Guangxi Academician Workstation, a series of high-performance insulating materials and new processes have been successively developed. Some of the technical achievements have been industrialized. The products are widely used in high-tech fields such as aerospace, ships, electronic and electrical industries.

Main research directions:

(1) Research on the process for production of new-type resins for advanced composite materials;

(2) Research on high-performance polyimide composite materials;

(3) Research on polyimide films and power lithium battery separators.

| Lithium-ion Batteries

With the platform of Guilin Key Lab for Power Batteries, GLESI has been developing new-generation high-performance whole-solid-state lithium-ion batteries. It is expected to establish an R&D and production base for whole-solid-state lithium-ion batteries in 2020.

Main research directions:

(1) Research on high-capacity negative-electrode materials;

(2) Research on solid electrolyte powder;

(3) Research on high-capacity positive-electrode materials;

(4) Research on assembly of whole-solid-state lithium-ion batteries and on performance tests
